The Central Data Facility (CDF, https://uni-freiburg.de/cdf) is a new service and consulting unit at the University of Freiburg that supports researchers from all faculties in the areas of data storage, data analysis, and research data management (RDM). The unit aims to connect and enhance existing structures and services at the university, making them more visible and coordinating activities related to research data management. The CDF serves as a central point of contact for all researchers, offering an overview of the wide range of RDM tools and data analysis services available at the University of Freiburg. It acts as an interface to the University Library, the Computer Center, and other university infrastructures and services that foster scientific collaboration across diverse research areas.
